At Basys, we believe in the power of community — and in 2025, we showed up for ours.

Our mission has always extended beyond payment processing. It’s about strengthening the people, families, and neighborhoods around us. From corporate giving to hands-on volunteerism, our team is committed to making a tangible difference in the places we live and work.

Corporate Giving: Making a Measurable Difference

We believe big impact starts local. In 2025, Basys donated over $600,000 to nonprofits that share our passion for helping others.

Our contributions this year have supported organizations making an impact in healthcare, youth development, education, animal welfare, and community well-being, including:

Each of these organizations represents a cause that’s deeply meaningful to our team. Whether it’s helping families in crisis, improving healthcare access, supporting local education or caring for animals in need, we’re proud to play a small part in their incredible work.

Employee Empowerment: Giving Every Team Member a Voice

At Basys, giving back isn’t just a corporate initiative — it’s a personal one.

Every employee has the opportunity to direct $500 in company funds each year to the charities that mean the most to them. Through this program, our team members have supported hundreds of causes across the country, driving change in the areas that matter most to them.

And giving time matters just as much as giving money. Through Volunteer PTO, every Basys employee receives a full paid day each year to dedicate to community service. Collectively, that’s over 1,000 hours donated in 2025 to local nonprofits, schools and community events.

We trust our people to make an impact where it counts — and they never disappoint.

 

Meaningful Partnerships: When Values Meet Action

Our long-standing partnerships remain at the heart of our giving efforts, bringing Basys values to life through ongoing, hands-on support.

  • Big Slick Charity Event for Children’s Mercy – We’re proud to sponsor and attend this Kansas City tradition, raising funds to support pediatric patients and their families.
  • Wounded Warriors in Action Foundation (WWIAF) – Our partnership continues to honor and assist veterans and their families.
  • Police Athletic League (PAL) of Kansas City, Kansas – Each month, Basys team members serve dinner to more than 100 children and parents, strengthening bonds between the community and local law enforcement.

Brad Oddo’s service on the PAL board exemplifies the leadership-driven compassion that defines our culture — showing that giving back starts at the top.

And when it comes to helping others, our team doesn’t just write checks — they roll up their sleeves.

 

Hands-On Efforts: Turning Generosity into Action

Beyond financial contributions, Basys employees actively volunteer their time and energy to make a difference in our communities.

  • Catholic Charities – Our annual food drives help provide essentials to local families in need.
  • American Red Cross – We’ve hosted multiple blood drives this year, donating hundreds of pints of blood.
  • Habitat for Humanity – Our volunteers continue to help build and repair homes, giving families a safe, stable place to live.

These moments — from serving meals to raising funds — are the truest reflection of who we are as a company: people helping people.
